![]() I've been thinking about connecting the output to a main in on my FireBox and boosting the signal some there, but unfortunately I don't have my computer that will allow me to accomplish the task at the moment. Now, this sucks if you have your headphones plugged into the output (such as my Sony earbuds plugged into the output of my iRig), but you can always boost the signal later. ![]() The output level seems to be the culprit turning this down seems to eliminate the feedback. So, in order to get the best out of AmpKit, I tried solving the problem. AmpliTube has a very cramped sound, similar to what I get out of the main out on my Line6 Spyder II, and the distortion and overdrive pedals are not very inspiring. But the tone is just unmatched compared to anything else I've tried. I experienced the feedback problem as well. Some rig names may be a bit more "fun" than they are descriptive.Experienced some bad feedback while using distortion pedal settings.App is a universal binary, unlike other competitors, one purchase will get you access to both iPhone and iPad versions.Hardware costs about the same so if you're only looking for a rig emulator for use on a single iOS device, it comes down to preference.Īny of you guys tried out Ampkit? What are your thoughts? Pros Cost wise, you'll spend a bit more on Amplitube if you want the iPhone and iPad version. Whatever app you feel more comfortable navigating, that's what you should use. If you're debating between Ampkit and Amplitube, I'd say download the free versions and play around. When it comes down to it, I think you'll have to decide which application you enjoy using more. The hardware comes out about the same, minus the feedback issue we experienced with the Ampkit LiNK.
